Fees & estimate guide
How Legacy Path Advisory prices succession counsel—project fees, day rates, and what changes the estimate.
Succession work varies with the number of shareholders, whether conflict is already open, and how many sites or entities sit under the family umbrella. We confirm fees in writing after a discovery call—never as a surprise invoice mid-engagement.
Indicative ranges
Succession Roadmap
From NZD 18,500
Fixed project fee for a typical four-to-six-month engagement with one operating company and up to six adult family participants. Additional entities or a second facilitated retreat are scoped separately.
Family governance sessions
From NZD 6,800
Covers a three-to-five session sequence and a draft family charter. Extra sessions billed at the day rate below if the family needs more time.
Ownership transition counsel
From NZD 9,200
Scoped block for share-path framing and joint sessions with your legal/accounting advisors. Complex multi-trust structures may move to a day-rate retainer.
Next-gen readiness coaching
From NZD 4,500
Per successor for an eight-to-twelve session series, including one site walk-through. Sibling pairs can share selected sessions at a reduced combined fee.
Advisory day rate
NZD 2,400 / day
Used for short interventions, joint advisor days, or work beyond a fixed scope. Half-days available for Auckland CBD meetings.
What moves an estimate up or down
- Number of adult shareholders who must be interviewed
- Existing conflict that requires slower pacing or separate rooms
- Travel beyond the Auckland region
- Whether you already have current constitutions and shareholder agreements on file
Deposits and billing
Roadmap and multi-session engagements usually require a 30% commencement deposit, with the balance staged at mid-point and close-out. Discovery calls are complimentary and create no obligation. Payment is by invoice; we do not process card checkout on this site.
Refunds and changes
If plans shift, see our refund and cancellation terms. Rescheduling with at least five business days’ notice is usually free for Auckland meetings.
